Volcanoes and Veils...

25 May 11

Ok, so it's not June yet, and before we even reach June I need this volcanic ash cloud to blow away so I can photograph a wonderful

wedding in Mallorca this weekend, it just goes to show that no matter how many hours you spend planning, you can never plan for

everything...I mean a volcano...who would plan for volcanic eruptions possibly postponing a wedding in Spain?!

So fingers crossed please everyone, and toes too if you don't mind!

But back to June, or forward depending on your train of thought...June will be the month my beautiful friend Diana (who is also a

photographer) and I are planning a bridal shoot, in a glorious location not too far from where I live.

We are currently gathering together the styling bits and bobs, dresses, veils, shoes etc!

If you have a pre-worn dress that you would love some beautiful photographs of please, please feel free to lend it to us for a day or two,

in exchange I am willing to offer a FREE 'day after/rock the dress shoot' for the bride and groom, in either Hertfordshire or London.

Where you will have a photoshoot of you and your lovely OH, and receive a dvd of fully retouched images. The free photoshoot would

need to be taken in either June or July 2011, and would last for up to four hours. Ideally looking for dresses from the past 5/6 years,

or vintage dresses from the 1960's and earlier.

Please send a couple of images of your beautiful dress to info@harrieteaglestone.com so I can see it.

History repeats itself...

So today I went to go and check out this adorable little church in a village called Bygrave in Hertfordshire. With Emily and Myles who

are getting married there this time next year! I can't wait to shoot their wedding, it's going to be so beautiful.

This church has history, not just in the village, but Emily's parents were married here, and Emily was Christened here. It's so

romantic to think her parents were stood in the same place years before, making their vows to each other before starting their

family. And Emily and Myles will be doing the same thing in only 12 months time!

I can't tell you how excited I am about a few new things, one being that my sample albums are due to arrive this coming week!!! Yay!!!!

So if you book you wedding/engagement shoot with me I shall bring them along and you can view them and adore them as much as I do!

And secondly, a few of my couples have had alternative uses for their engagement shoots, I've had arrow shots to help direct guests to

the venues, thank you cards for guests, and from this shoot, 'save the date' images, where the couple made bunting which had their

wedding date on, I won't show you these images untill the guests have seen them, but they are so adorable!

I am always up for any idea's you may have on your photo shoots, so please please feel free to come armed with a list of photos you

would like to have taken, and feel free to use them however you wish, including save the dates and thank-you's!

yay for vintage sunshine!

Here's a few more from my engagement shoot with Jenny and David in the lovely Bedfordshire countryside.

They wanted a slightly vintage feel to the images to be in-keeping with the style of their wedding.

We had such a ball! And I loved the pink scooter!!
