I was given the joy of photographing these two friends for their engagement photos, they make such a good couple!
With the sun shining, clear blue skies and a headfull of idea's, we set off on our photography adventure...
Only for 3 minutes in, the skies to turn a threatening black and the heavens opened!

It was a bridal makeup test and this beautiful lady allowed me to photograph it.

popped into today, and trust me, I nearly came out with a bag full of their clothes! Such beautiful fabrics!

Girls, get your dancing shoes ready as weddings bring out the best dad dancing in the world!
Be sure to wear something you can dance your socks off in, or a least perch delicately off to one side, should your feet tell you bare foot dancing is the best way forward!

So he got down on one knee, said something truly romantic, you said yes, and it was full steam ahead!
I'm pretty sure for a bride one of the most important things she has to do for the big day, is to find THE dress.
Many people talk about that knowing feeling you get when you put on the ONE for the first time.
Others have said they found one they couldn't let go of, and for others it may be a family heirloom.
What ever your choice, you will most certainly want some beautiful images of it before the big outing, before the tears, smiles and champagne marks.
It will be the outfit you slip into as a bride, and take off as a wife, and the journey begins...

Top tip No.2...
After clients asking 'what shall I wear?',' where shall we go?' is normally the next question.
I personally feel it is always better to take some beautiful photo's at a place you love to visit.
Not only will you know your way around, but it means you will feel more relaxed, and if I can snap you at your favourite kissing tree, what could be better?
So if you book an engagement/couples shoot with me, have a little think as to where you would like to go,
of course it needen't be your favourite place, it could be somewhere you have always wanted to visit, or
somewhere you have recently been told about.
Consider how busy that place will be, if you don't like hugging in public, the local park on a saturday in July, probably isn't the ideal spot.
Whereas if you like an audience the funfair or big city may have it's appeal.
It's completly up to you...
Top tip for engagement sessions!
The first question I normally get asked by clients is, 'what shall I wear?!'
And the answer is....It really doesn't matter.
I am a massive fan of the dress, anything girlie and romantic and I will probably want one, or already own it!
If you love your jeans and t.shirts, rock up in that, if you want wellies and a ball gown I'm definitly up for that!
Think about those outfits you have loved the pictures of yourself wearing, what was it about what you were wearing that made it great?
Does it suit your figure? Show off those beautiful curves? Or does it remind you of a fab night out?
The more comfortable you feel in your choice of outfit the better, it will really show in the pictures!
